Cookie Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
This page lists everything ReCut stores on your device and lets you change your choices.
This policy is being finalised with legal advisers and may change before general launch.
What we store
Like most sites, ReCut stores small items in your browser. Essential items are needed for the site to work. Everything else is off until you agree.
Items we use
The table below lists each item, why we use it and how long it lasts.
| Name | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-…-auth-token | Keeps you signed in. | Essential | Until you sign out |
| recut.consent | Remembers your cookie choices. | Essential | 6 months |
| recut.share.vk | Stops one person's shares being counted twice. | Audience measurement (optional) | Kept until you withdraw consent; otherwise this visit only |
| Google ad cookies | Personalises and measures ads on free videos. | Personalised advertising (optional) | Set by Google, up to 13 months |
Your choices
Rejecting optional items never stops videos playing; free videos still include ads, they are just not personalised. You can change your mind at any time with the button below, or with the Cookie settings link on public pages.
